My Los Angeles Lakes are going back to the NBA Finals to defend their title after beating the Phoenix Suns in the WCF in six games.
The Green Bastards on the other hand have beaten Orlando in the ECF as well to set the stage on what I believe to be an EPIC finals.
Revenge is the word that always seems to reverberate when I hear Laker fans talk about this upcoming rematch and I couldn’t agree more. The way we lost in 2008 left a sour taste in all of LA fans as well as the Laker organization. I could see that the sour taste come back when they were interviewing LA after winning the Western Conference last night. I feel that the team HAS BEEN ready for this rematch since 2008 and now that the moment is here, it’s time to DANCE.
I can’t wait for Thursday June 3rd, as the series starts off at the Staples Center. We need to hold court and make sure to win the first two games in convincing fashion.
Our new addition was born March 22, 2010 @ 9:46 AM weighing in at 5 Lbs 11 Oz and 20 Inches Long. He scored a 9 on his apgar test and is absolutely perfect.
We were in the Labor room exactly 16 minutes and our little bundle of joy was in our arms. Junalyn and I wanted to get an epidural but she went from 3 CM to 10 CM so fast that we did not have enough time. So she had to do it the natural way… Yikes but she’s a trooper and she handled it like a champion. I couldn’t be any more prouder!
We thought he’d be more than 6 Lbs but with Junalyn’s diet during the pregnancy, it actually makes sense. I’m off work until April 21st and June is off until the middle of June. The nights are kind of rough but we know that it will get better. And of course everything is worth it he is just precious!
We’re expecting Baby # 2 this coming April 2010. At first there were some complications to the pregnancy but with God’s help all has turned out well so far.
Last Thursday, we happily found out that Baby # 2 will be a BOY!!! Obviously, I’m as happy as can be and can’t wait to see the little munchkin.
Joselyn shares my excitement as well. She’s been asking us to ‘buy’ a new baby brother or sister for quite awhile now. And now that she will be a big sister, she can’t hardly wait! I know for a fact she will be a GREAT big sister.
Junalyn is happy as well, she’s always wanted a boy and a girl and now with God’s blessing we all have our wishes 
.
Today, we paid a visit to good o’le Babies R Us to check out all the new baby products they have. Also to reminisce how it was 7 years ago when we expecting our first bundle of joy. Al in all, it was a very pleasant and heartwarming visit. We can’t wait!!
Were currenly staying at the Hilton Bayshores hotel and will be checking out in a couple of hours. This little family vacation has been a much needed R and R.
We left LA Last Friday after work and got here around 7pm, we then had dinner at the fox grill restaurant inside the hotel then just called it a night.
Saturday – we went to Sea World and jojo had a blast! She was about 2 years old the last time we visited. We watched the Shamu show @ 1030 then the Sea Lion showan hour later. After that we got drenched in a raft/water ride, this was much needed since it was HOT, we then watched the Dolphin show. We then proceeded have lunch after that and just relaxed. We ended the day by winning some shamu/ penguin stuffed animals at the arcade.
So now well be heading back to LA/LB and probably just hang out tomorrow
Yes I’m here writing something after about 4 months of absence. Nothing really interesting to write about. Life in general has been pretty boring, still working at the same place, although now I hpretty much hate it over there. I’m going to start looking for other work, but the economy is so bad right now that I don’t know what I’ll find. Whatever it is, it will probably be better than what I’m putting up with where I’m at.
On an exciting news, the Lakers are world champions!! Yeah baby, Kobe and company pulled it off and they are primed to win another championship next year assuming they keep this group together. back-to-back hopefully (keeping fingers crossed). The whole playoff run was exciting and I watched each and every game the Lakers played.
Joselyn is done with Kindergarten and she is currently in summer school. She received several awards during her kindergarten year including two academic achievement awards and a reading award. She received straight “O”s on her final grade… which pretty much equates to straights “A”s. Mommy and daddy are very proud.
We’re still staying at June’s parents house but were actually getting our debt paid off and starting to get our head above water, staying here have been really helpful for us.
Junalyn’s birthday is this Sunday and I believe were going to have a family lunch/dinner out. Happy B-Day hun =)

OK so I’m gonna go on a little rant here… Since I hate the Celtics with a passion unlike any other.
The Lakers without Bynum went into Boston and stun the Boston Celtics to have the NBAs best record. They were the underdogs I went to ESPN right before the game and saw that 80% of the USA thought the Lakers were going to lose.. But guess what??? We FUCKEN WON!!!
Kobe had a subpar game.. mainly because he was tired, the Lakers missed hella free throws, they didn’t have they’re up and coming superstar Andrew Bynum and overall just had a below average game.. But guess what?? That was enough for us to Beat the World Champions in their home court… That just says one thing.. WERE BADASSES!!
I know that for some people it’s just a midseason game.. But its much much much much more than that.. Its a measuring stick to see where our Lakers stand regarding their quest to have another parade in the summer.. And well TBH this game says the our current team “without Andrew Bynum” IS capable of winning the Championship this year!
I hate RONDO.. WTF is that shoving Kobe?? Who does he think he is?? He’s a nobody! All he is is a wannabe point guard that was lucky enough to play with decent players. This Celtics team will not be a dynasty they will be a one hit wonder LOL it took then 7 games to bea the #8 team last season. On the other hand the Lakers WILL be a dynasty with the GREATEST PLAYER to ever play the game.

Friday tomorrow and we’re planning on going to Disneyland on Saturday for the fireworks show. We got our season passes at the beginning of the year and we’ve been going there at least a couple of times a week since. Jojo’s big enough to go on most of the rides so we’re actually experiencing Disneyland in much more detail than we did when she was like 2 years old.
Workwise, I finally got permanently hired. My official hire date was Jan 2 2009.. So basically I was a temp for about 6 months. That ain’t too bad, I’m just glad that I’m actually accruing vacation time,have benefits and 401K too. It isn’t like I needed benefits, since I’m under my wife’s plan but it’s nice to know it’s there if I ever need it.
We got FIOS and I’m loving the 20Mbit Downstream and 5Mbit Upstream. I can download a DVD in like 30 minutes which is a good thing. Not to say I use it to download movies, but it’s nice to have that type of speed for what I need it for.
We’ve been living in Junes parent’s house for about 7 months now, and haven’t saved didddly squat. We’ve been eating out too much and spending money on things that we really don’t need. We gotta stop that! I thought we’d have out head on straight when we moved back here but we’re just spending like we did when we lived here before. Things have got to change and It starts with me, I need to set an example but it’s just too hard with all the things that we can do here in LA. In South Carolina, there was nothing to do, so we could save. But here in LA, $500.00 goes really quick in a weekend. It’s all about will power and well we gotta do it if we wanna buy a home in Southern California.
Peace folks.. we’re gonna watch a movie and then knock out. Got work at 6:00 AM tomorrow.
Haven’t blogged in a lil bit,I guess that’s the normality here @josephestrada.net heh anyways nothing much is going on. I love my iPhone and use it about 16 hours a day meaning I use it every waking moment. It’s already jailbroke and I’ve installed a bunch of third party apps but I have this strange feeling that I’m barely scratching the surface.
Oh yea I’m going monster massive with an old friend this saturday, that should be pretty fun. Haven’t been to a rave/massive In about five years.. I’m really curious to see how the scene is nowadays. Will keep u guys updated
Pretty boring weekend, really didn’t do anything.
The highlight of the weekend was eating out at BJs and going out to play basketball again haven’t played ball in forever. Hopefully I’ll get my ass out more and be more active. I really need to get back into shape, not that I’m fat or anything but it just feels good to get the heart pumping.
So now it’s time to knock out and get ready for another fun workweek
